Kikiam Kids

When I first had the chance to teach in this University, I really do not know what is in store for me. I was afraid that I might fail my students and I could not meet their expectations. I was not certain of what approach to use in order to make my students like me and appreciate the things I will be doing for them.

And then I met you guys. When I saw you at CAS 104 at 9:00 am, before going to an important engagement in Makati, I told myself, 'This is the class worthy of my time and effort and I am to give them the best I can offer'. The smiles you showed and the respect you gave on that first day inspired me to make teaching enjoyable.

Time passed, year by year, and I saw you grow. We shared tears together, pains, laughter and specials secrets. I had the pleasure of becoming your second mother, always there for you and you supporting me all the way.

I just cannot forget the wonderful things you have done for me, going to Las Piñas to spend a special night with me, travelling through rough roads of Batangas, sharing joys at Enchanted Kingdom, being together in parties, watching movies, and eating…eating…eating.

Most of all, I can never forget the last birthday celebration I had on your last year of stay in this College. That was really incomparable. I never felt that I was that special to you and you made me feel that I was really part of your wonderful family.

Now, you are apart from me and still you do not forget that I exist. You have grown, you are now successful, and I know, somehow, you get the satisfaction of working for your benefit.

How I wish you could be my children again…bring back old memories….see your smiles again. You know, no one else could replace those laughter and joys. But I know, though far from me, you are happy and I just thank the Lord that once, you were part of me and will remain to be a part of me forever.

I hope one of these days, we could spend one day together again, each one of you, sharing the wonderful things that you are experiencing now and giving me the chance to take a good look at you again.

To the batch I love so much, thank you for everything, good luck to you and God bless you always.
